Willersey Village Amateur Horticultural and Craft Show 2023

Our “Horticultural and Craft Show” 2023 was be held in the Village Hall
on Bank Holiday Monday August 28^th (2pm to 5pm)
and many other separate activities took place in Willersey during the afternoon.

Here are some pictures from a great day for Willersey. (More to come. Click each picture for a larger version)

* The Eric Beadle Cup for the best total exhibits at the Show was awarded to Jane Ewers.

Some new classes this year included the ugliest vegetable, the heaviest potato, sloe gin as well as the old favorites. Lots of opportunity to demonstrate your skills in cooking, baking , nurturing, growing, photography and also creative arts and crafts classes for children in different age groups. This year's Mens Cake recipe is Coffee and Walnut What could possibly go wrong ??!!

Instead of the Craft Show last year we exhibited Art and Photographic work from just five villagers but this year we restored the Craft Exhibition to ALL crafters as it was pre-pandemic. If you would like to exhibit this year and share your passion of your art/crafts/hobby please send me your name, contact telephone number, email and a description or photo of what you can put in the show to pekavter@hotmail.com . This is so we can plan and label exhibits in preparation for the day. Your exhibits will always be watched over by stewards and roped off to keep them secure. Please spread the word if you know someone who has a talent and may not have read this appeal.

If you have been a steward at previous shows or if you would like to get involved for the first time this year could you email me (pekavter@hotmail.com) saying which hour you are available between 2:00pm and 5:00pm on Monday 28^th August with your name and contact details so I can plan this years rota for stewards.

Our Fete in 2021 was a really great success. Covid cancelled the Horticultural Show.
Our Craft and Horticultural Show in 2020 was cancelled because of the Covid virus.
Our Craft and Horticultural Show in 2019 was a really great success.
Our Craft and Horticultural Show in 2018 was a great success.
Our Craft and Horticultural Show in 2017 was a really great success.
Our Craft and Horticultural Show in 2016 was also a great success and despite the wet (English) weather so was our 2015 Show.
